The Scales of the Spine - Spinal Twisting for Stability and Ease
Coming Fall 2021
This yoga practice is designed to help musicians gain awareness of the lumbar, thoracic, and cervical spinal movements to optimize overall flexibility for practicing and performing. Through restorative spinal movements coordinated with the breath, musicians can access this flow in a chair or on their mats. This flow will help balance the mind and body as well as address back pain. This simple sequence will help to free feelings of anxiety and increase blood flow to the internal organs. Students will feel more connected to their bodies and voices through spinal twists and articulation of the spine exercises.
